The visual explores through the allegory of an endless journey that plunges into the depths for a constant search for the intangible. A multi-stage process that will allow us to find what we are looking for.
This is Curiosity, and where the name of this piece comes from. It is the first hammer that breaks the walls of paradigms and taboos, allowing us to go beyond. The infinite driving force that allows us to evolve, to discover, but above all, to learn.
To visually convey this sensation, I created a continuous camera journey that delves into the space, revealing new scenarios as it progresses. Playing with surreal imagery, I incorporated the reflection of a stone in water that resembles a moon, a staircase, stars that are part of an inverse landscape, and interiors that morph and shift. Each of these elements is a small part of a larger message.
“Curiosity” was featured in a highly curated group benefit auction at Christie’s NYC, with proceeds donated to The Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) to support research and advancements in mental health.
